Kannathil Muthamittal is my all time favourite movie and every time I watch the movie there is something new that I notice. It amazes me how a movie that got released about 16 years ago is so of the age even now. The world that we live in knows only two kinds of love: the... Continue Reading →
“What is coming will come, and we will meet it when it does.” - Hagrid The orange flames threw angry specks of dust at her. She stood there as fear embered down her body consuming her. Showers of hot flame crept over the place swallowing every particle on its path. Oh narrow ridge, stop burning so hard. She... Continue Reading →
Stranded by the sea, there was water everywhere. One couldn't tell where the deep blue sea ended and the sky started. She* stood there like one of those statues watching the horizon. The monstrous waves hit her as hard as they could. The smell of salt in the breeze filled her nostrils stifling her. Her... Continue Reading →
Every girl fantasizes about her dream wedding. I used to as well, then, I grew up. Life can sometimes be a Polaroid. Static, happy, deceptive, dated and nobody knows what happened before or after the moment. I remember reading this somewhere when you ask a child to color something, she would happily pick a crayon and start coloring. She'd go out of the lines, fill the picture with colors from her weird imagination. You'd see blue elephants, red fields, and orange oceans. As she grows up people start molding her. They will want the child to color within the lines and see things they way they are - elephants are supposed to be grey, fields: green and oceans: blue.
Growing up has its own perks. You realize that you can be this strong independent person, manage your bills, sort out your investments, audit your taxes etc. Sometimes in the middle of all that you look at yourself and realize "Woah, I have actually changed". And, suddenly you are totally fine with it. A lot of things change as you evolve into a better or not so better human being. Isn't change the only constant thing? Here are a few things that I really liked back then but ended up having an aversion towards it in the recent times. If we are on the same page, do let me know in the comments section below.
